Quality in Care not only identifies and recognises quality patient care and joint working in the UK, but allows the ideas behind these schemes to be disseminated and discussed on a national level.
Each QiC Programme will follow the same path, ensuring the simplest, most effective way for healthcare organisations, patient groups and industry representatives to get involved.
Entry:
Organisations behind patient care schemes across the four nations of the UK will be able to enter from a selection of 15 categories for QiC Diabetes and 9 categories for QiC Oncology. QiC is determined to keep the entry process simple and easy, covering a broad criteria of care services, making the awards as open and accessible as possible.
Judging:
Entries will be reviewed by a panel of experts from the particular therapy area. A shortlist of nominees for each category will be collated before the Awards ceremony, with the winners announced on the night.
Awards:
The awards will celebrate all the nominated patient care schemes in each category. In all categories, the top three entries will receive trophies.
Showcase:
Following the awards, QiC will provide a platform to discuss the award winning schemes, determining the best way to learn from good practice and to build replicatable case studies.
Share:
The final stage of the QiC process will allow ideas and initiatives learned in the showcase stage to be disseminated and implemented on a wider scale through multi-channel representation, bringing good practice to more patient care organisations.
