Judges' Special Award (not enterable directly)

This award will be judged from all entries received (irrespective of category) for a project that the judges feel deserves national recognition and a platform to be shared with the wider diabetes community.

Judges will be considering initiatives in terms of innovation and effectiveness which have the potential to be rolled out across the UK for the benefit of people with diabetes. Particular attention will be given to projects that have successfully addressed common problems within the NHS and provided solutions that are cost-effective, practical and reproducible.

This award may be given to an initiative that has not won its own category but, in the judges’ opinion, is worthy of being recognised and rolled out to the diabetes community.
