Andrew Stroud, Parent of Child with Type 1 Diabetes

Andrew Stroud is a parent of a child with type 1, and a fundraiser. His daughter was diagnosed aged 5 in 2011, the first person with T1D in the family, so quite a shock to all and a big learning curve. As a keen if sedate cyclist, Andrew has thrown himself into fundraising for JDRF and has raised over £20,000 with various cycling challenges, the most recent cycling from London to Brighton with his daughter and managing her BGs throughout the 10 hour ride with the  help of the libre. She uses the Accuchek Insight insulin pump.”
