Dr Pash Dhindsa has been a diabetes dietitian since 1988. She started her diabetes career in Nottingham as a research dietitian. She has been working as a diabetes dietitian in Derby for the last 20 years. During this time, as well as a clinical role, she has taught on the Masters in Nutrition and Dietetics and Graduate Entry Medicine courses at Nottingham University. This interest in education has continued with patients. She is a DAFNE educator and has helped develop a pre-insulin education course for people with Type 2 diabetes.
She has a special interest in the management of obesity in diabetes and completed her research thesis on the role of very low calorie diets in obese patients with type 2 diabetes.
