Finalists announced for QiC Diabetes 2016

NHS teams from Salford to the South West, University College London to the University of Dundee are in the running for an award at QiC Diabetes 2016.

The finalists for the prestigious awards have been unveiled and 2016’s shortlist includes NHS diabetes services for the young and old.

And the wait is nearly over, as the winners will be presented with their QiC Diabetes 2016 awards at a ceremony at Sanofi UK’s Guildford headquarters on Thursday 13 October.

QiC Diabetes recognises, rewards and shares innovative practice demonstrating quality in diabetes management, education and services for people with diabetes and/or their families, throughout the UK and Northern Ireland.

Gaining QiC recognition means an initiative has been highlighted by the NHS, patients and industry as improving the quality of life for people living with diabetes.

QiC Diabetes is partnered by Sanofi and supported by a number of leading patient and NHS groups.

They are: the Association of British Clinical Diabetologists (ABCD), Children and Young People's Diabetes Network (CYPDN), the Diabetes Inpatient Specialist Nurse (DISN) UK Group, Diabetes Research & Wellness Foundation (DRWF), Diabetes UK, Primary Care Diabetes Society (PCDS), Training Research and Education for Nurses in Diabetes (TREND), Young Diabetologists and Endocrinologists' Forum (YDEF) and the United Kingdom Clinical Pharmacy Association (UKCPA).
