Dr Clare Hambling, GP and Chair PCDS

Clare is a General Practitioner with an interest in diabetes and the current chair of the Primary Care Diabetes Society.

Working in Norfolk, in the East of England, Clare is the GP Clinical Lead for diabetes and the Co-clinical lead for Protect NoW, an innovative project aimed at supporting the implementation of population health and care and reducing healthcare inequality. In addition to her local roles in diabetes, Clare sits on several clinical advisory groups, including for the National Pregnancy in Diabetes (NPID) Audit, and has recently contributed to the diabetes working group for the Centre for Peri-Operative Care (CPOC), a cross-specialty collaboration dedicated to the promotion, advancement, and development of perioperative care for the benefit of patients at all stages of their surgical journey.
